Four Huskers earn All-America volleyball honors

Four Nebraska volleyball players earned All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday. It is the 31st consecutive season at least one Husker has been named to the AVCA All-America teams.

Senior setter Lauren Cook was named to the first team. It was her first time as an AVCA All-American. She earned the AVCA National Freshman of the Year award in 2009 while at UCLA.

Senior outside hitters Hannah Werth and Gina Mancuso both earned second team honors, making them two-time All-Americans. Werth was named to the second team in 2010 while Mancuse landed on the first team in 2011.

Freshman middle blocker Meghan Haggerty earned an honorable mention nod.
