The Nebraska baseball team released its 2017 schedule Tuesday, noting that the Huskers are set to play 23 home games at Hawks Field. Nebraska will open its 55-game schedule on Friday, Feb. 17 at the UC Riverside Highlanders at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. After 11 games on the road to start the season, the Huskers will return to its home field on Tuesday, March 7 to host Northern Colorado for the 2017 home opener.

A few interesting facts about the 2017 schedule, per Nebraska’s release:
>> The Huskers will play 23 home games, 21 road games and 11 neutral site games.
>> By month, the Huskers will play eight games in February, 18 in March, 19 in April and 10 in May.
>> Nebraska will face six 2016 NCAA Tournament teams (Western Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio State, Utah, Oklahoma State and Arizona).
>> The Huskers will play eight Big Ten conference series with four on the road and four at home.
