1983 Nebraska National Invitation Tournament Notepad
>>The notepad was given to reporters who covered the NIT semifinals at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in 1983.
>>Nebraska’s featured junior Stan Cloudy (above), as well as freshman Dave Hoppen and Coach Moe Iba (below).

>>Cloudy led the Huskers in both scoring and rebounding in each of the three victories that earned the trip to the Big Apple.
>>Nebraska played the three opening-round games at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, defeating Tulane, Iona and Texas Christian, before losing to DePaul in New York City. DePaul lost to Fresno State in the championship game.
>>This season’s NIT appearance was the Huskers’ 19th all-time.
>>The Huskers also reached the NIT semifinals in 1987 and won the tournament in 1996, both times under Coach Danny Nee.
