In that role he was responsible for managing the team’s schedule, organizing travel, overseeing student development activities, coordinating on-campus recruiting activities, maintaining NCAA compliance-related records and various other duties.
Virgilio spent the past two seasons as a management analyst. In that role he was tasked using with advanced knowledge of research methods, information management, and quantitative methods to analyze all areas of the program in order to devise and deliver strategies to improve basketball operations. He prepared analytical reports, offered recommendations and oversaw the implementation of the strategies he devised for practice, training, style of play, scouting, scheduling and recruiting.
