The news comes following multiple reports that the Huskers are working to add a nonconference game this Thursday. The expected matchup with Doane University, who Nebraska faced in an exhibition in early October 2019, was confirmed on Tuesday. The two will meet on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. CT at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The game will be broadcast on BTN+.

The addition of the Doane matchup makes up for the Huskers’ canceled game with Florida A&M. That matchup had be canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test among Tier 1 support staff personnel at Florida A&M.
Nebraska had a gap in the schedule between last Friday’s matchup with Creighton and the original Dec. 21 start to the Big Ten schedule against Wisconsin. Coach Fred Hoiberg said before the season that the Huskers could use that window if they need to make up a game.
