The Huskers announced Tuesday that they will utilize Wednesday’s NIT game versus Butler to collect donations for those in need. To date, 74 cities and 65 counties have been declared a State of Emergency.
The Red Cross, Nebraska Athletics volunteers and student-athletes will collect cash donations inside all entrances of Pinnacle Bank Arena when the doors open at 6:30 p.m. CT until just after tipoff on Wednesday. One hundred percent of the funds collected in PBA at the game will go toward Nebraska/Southwest Iowa flood relief.
Fans unable to make it to to PBA on Wednesday can also donate by texting “red cross” to 90999 to immediately donate $10 (per text) to support disasters such as floods and countless other crises. Fans can also donate at redcross.org (phone service provider will add amount donated to your next bill).
