Senior guard Tai Webster will represent Nebraska basketball at Big Ten Media Day, according to a release from the Big Ten Conference. He will be the only Husker to accompany head coach Tim Miles on the trip.
The Huskers are the only team in the Big Ten to bring a single player to Big Ten Media Day. Webster is also Nebraska’s only senior, which is the likely reason why the Huskers elected to have him be the one to travel.
Webster was one of the most improved players in the Big Ten during his junior season. He averaged 10.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, which was double his previous bests in both areas. He also reached double figures 16 times over the 2015-2016 season. Seven of those came against Big Ten teams.
Big Ten Basketball Media Day is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13 in Washington D.C. For more information and to see the full list of players attending, visit here. To get caught up on the Huskers’ season outlook, check out Wednesday’s press conference report.
