Nebraska trailed by as many as 16 points in the second half, but a late surge from seniors James Palmer Jr. and Glynn Watson Jr. brought the Huskers back level and sent Sunday’s regular-season finale against rival Iowa to overtime.
There, Nebraska ground out a 93-91 win to send a group of five seniors off right.
Three of them met with the media after the game, including freshman Amir Harris and head coach Tim Miles, to talk about what happened, how it happened and what’s next for the Huskers.
Nebraska is back in action next Wednesday when the Big Ten Tournament begins in Chicago. The Huskers will play Rutgers in the 12-13 matchup at 5:30 p.m. CT on BTN.

Derek is a newbie on the Hail Varsity staff covering Husker athletics. In college, he was best known as ‘that guy from Twitter.’ He has covered a Sugar Bowl, a tennis national championship and almost everything in between (except an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game… *tears*). In his spare time, he can be found arguing with literally anyone about sports.
