With a 69-point win in its season-opener, Nebraska matched the second-largest margin of victory in program history right out of the gates. The 25th-ranked Huskers (1-0) cruised to a 106-37 win over Mississippi Valley State (0-1).
Nebraska basketball entered 2018 with plenty of expectations, and fans flocked to Pinnacle Bank Arena Tuesday night expecting nothing short of a blowout. The Huskers responded by shooting 55 percent from the floor, hitting 15 3s and holding Mississippi Valley State to just 19 percent shooting.
After the game, head coach Tim Miles met with the media along with guards James Palmer Jr. and Glynn Watson Jr. and forward Nana Akenten.
