Things are red hot right now with Nebraska recruiting making this the perfect time for the Huskers to host an important 2020 visitor. Three-star defensive tackle (HV Rating: 86) Nash Hutmacher out of Chamberlain High School in Chamberlain, South Dakota, made the drive down to Lincoln for an unofficial visit.
I would just like to thank @coach_frost ,@CoachRHeld , and the rest of the @HuskerFBNation staff for the great visit today had a great time!!! #GBR #Huskers #NEBRASKA pic.twitter.com/M9x3xoyaDf

From his tweet, it was safe to assume that Hutmacher enjoyed the trip. I caught up with him while he was on his way back home and asked him for his overall thoughts on the visit.
“I really, really enjoyed it,” Hutmacher said. “I really enjoyed talking with all the coaches. I just really liked it. My mom, dad and little brother came with me. They really enjoyed it, too. They really liked talking with the coaches, too, and the attitude they have.”
The lineman, who is also one of the best heavyweight wrestlers in the nation, told me that he spent most of his time with defensive line coach Mike Dawson and also had time with Scott Frost and Ryan Held. The family got introduced to a lot of the staff during their visit. Hutmacher plays both lines for Chamberlain High School, so where does Nebraska see him playing?
“They see me playing nose guard," he said. "I play both ways at my high school. I don’t have a real preference, I’m fine with playing either way.”
In addition to the staff connecting with him, Hutmacher said that the facilities stood out after being able to see them in person. He was also a little more fired up to visit with all the positive momentum Nebraska has on the recruiting trail right now.
“Oh yeah, I was really excited to get down and visit," he said. "I’m excited to hopefully get down to a game or two this year, too.”
Right now, Hutmacher says that Wisconsin, Iowa State and possibly Iowa are standing out to him just to names a few schools. As for what he is looking for in a school, the South Dakota native wants to feel comfortable outside of football.
“I always think about would I want to go to the school not just because they have a good football program? Would I go to school there even if I wasn’t going to play football? That’s important to me.”
