Another defensive player will be in Lincoln for an official visit this weekend.
Hail Varsity has confirmed that 3-star (HV Rating: 81.0) defensive end Nusi Malani will be in Lincoln for an official visit. This summer, we reported that Malani was considering this weekend as his time to take an official to Lincoln. The California defender informed Hail Varsity that his parents, brother and sister will be making the trip to Nebraska with him.

Malani made his debut on the Greg’s Guys list in the August edition. His frame stands out to me when I see him on tape. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 250-pounds with room to add more weight. Malani is another long athletic body that would be a welcome addition to the defensive line room. He is also related to former Husker I-back Roy Helu Jr so he does have some familiarity with the Huskers.
Last month, he told Hail Varsity what he was most looking forward to on the visit to Lincoln.
“They [the coaches] told me about the fan energy and how the stadium is packed. They say the fans there go crazy. I want to see that for myself and meet all the staff. I want to see what the environment is like and seeing what it’s like out there.”
Malani joins Arizona defensive lineman/outside linebacker Regen Terry and California defensive end Tuli Tuipulotu as confirmed official visitors. I still expect another official visitor or two to be confirmed for the matchup with Northern Illinois. So keep it tuned to Hail Varsity for the latest.
