Add another name to the growing official visit list for Nebraska this fall. This visitor is at a position of need too: linebacker.
The way linebacker recruiting ends will determine how a lot of people feel about this class. Adding more top talent to the linebacker group would be welcome news for inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud. Outside linebackers coach Jovan Dewitt’s unit is also a priority.
Hail Varsity can confirm that 3-star (HV Rating: 83.8) outside linebacker Caleb McCullough will take an official visit that weekend. Hail Varsity previously confirmed that 4-star (HV Rating: 92.9) outside linebacker Kaden Johnson will also officially visit Nebraska for the Ohio State matchup.
As for McCullough, the Pacifica High School star has some clear objectives when he visits Lincoln in September.
“I’m looking forward to just seeing the atmosphere,” he said. “I want to see if the school fits me and get to meet all the coaches.”
The California defender is the eighth prospect to confirm an official visit to Lincoln for the Ohio State matchup.
McCullough has over 20 scholarship offers at this point. He does have another pair of official visits on his schedule. He will be at Utah on Sept. 9 and at Boise State on Oct. 11. The defender has the look of a player that will continue rising up recruiting rankings. It does not take long watching his film to see his instincts and nose for the ball.
During his junior season, he racked up an impressive 211 total tackles in 13 games with six sacks and 17 hurries.
