Nebraska has its second commitment of the 2022 recruiting class. Wide receiver Victor Jones Jr. announced his commitment to the Huskers Thursday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver hails from Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida. He selected Nebraska over offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Maryland, Central Florida and several others. UCF was the first to offer him in 2020 but his offer list quickly grew.
“It feels good. I’ve been working hard for the past two years and it feels like my hard work is starting to pay off,” Jones told the Orlando Sentinel at the time.
As a junior, Jones had 663 yards on 26 receptions with eight touchdowns. He added another 66 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Orlando Sentinel noted that he runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash, even running a 200-meter dash with a time of 22.3 seconds prior to COVID-19 shutting things down in spring 2020;
The commitment came as a bit of surprise on Thursday, but certainly a welcome one for Nebraska. He joins 3-star linebacker Ernest Hausmann in the 2022 class.
