Gray visited Nebraska for the Northern Illinois game with his parents. His player hosts were fellow Florida natives Dicaprio Bootle and Deontai Williams. Gray is another versatile defensive back that defensive backs coach Travis Fisher will be able to cross-train as a safety and cornerback.
The Miami Central star held over 20 scholarship offers from around the country. At one point he was committed to Miami but held offers from the likes of Florida, Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State.
The rangy defender is the second defensive back in the 2020 class. He is also the second Florida defensive back in the class joining Orlando defensive back Tamon Lynum.
