More talent is on the way to Nebraska’s secondary.
On Saturday night, Nebraska gained a commitment from 4-star safety Cam Jones out of Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas. He made his announcement on live television on the show "Inside High School Sports" on NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Jones was part of the UCLA class before Chip Kelly took over but did not have much contact with the new staff there if any, and decided to move on. When Nebraska hosted him for an official visit back on Dec 15, he stuck up a quick friendship with defensive end signeee Tate Wildeman.

In Jones, Nebraska is getting a hard-hitting safety with the potential to become an All-Big Ten level player. He made an unofficial visit return trip to Lincoln in January to have more time around the coaching staff. Jones had more than 14 offers including from UCLA, Ole Miss and Baylor. Nebraska held off Ole Miss to win the commitment of Jones with a strong in-home visit from Ryan Held on Friday night.
