I saw last week that a lot of people wanted to know more about my recruitment and the mail I would get from universities.
It's pretty easy to get caught up in all that stuff especially when you're as fortunate as I was to get recruited by so many colleges, but that wasn't necessarily my problem. I understood that all of it was a blessing. At the same time, I also understood that if I don't do what I'm expected to do on the field and in the classroom then all of my hard work that I put in to get it was for no reason.
I would get huge boxes delivered at my doorstep full of letters from colleges. It was so much mail my brother, Jordan, had to help me bring it in!
As the process went on, and the harder I got recruited, the more mail I would get. It got to the point to where I would just throw the whole box in the trash can and wait for the trash man to come pick it up. It brought me a lot of joy and excitement every time I would receive an offer from a university or even a recruiting letter because as a child this was my dream and now I am living it.
This Friday, Sept. 1, my senior football season officially starts as we face the Hondo Owls. We ended up beating them last year in a pretty tight game, 27-21, and this year we're looking to have an even better outcome!

Our preparation has been intense as always so there is no doubt in my mind that we will be ready!
Saturday I will be back in Lincoln for the home opener against Arkansas State. A lot of people ask me why I chose this game and I answer with after being there twice and getting comfortable I was just so eager to get back! I picked the first home game possible, which happened to be the season opener.
I'm excited to get back and see the game day atmosphere, interact with the best fans in the country as well as watch us bring home the W!
