This weekend, Nebraska will host its first Junior Day for the 2020 recruiting class. There are several top targets making their way to Lincoln for the event that will serve as the unofficial kickoff to the 2020 cycle.
The event is headlined by frequent Lincoln visitor Turner Corcoran, the 4-star offensive lineman from Lawrence, Kansas. Any time you can get your top target for the entire cycle back on campus, it’s a big plus. There are some other really interesting things about this group, like the number of Missouri and Kansas natives attending (15).
Nebraska getting a jump on hosting top talent from St Louis is worth noting as well. Running back Mookie Cooper, offensive lineman Jalen St. John and others will be heavily recruited, so a big impression is needed. There are also plenty of out of region prospects to keep an eye on. Linebacker Cody Simon from New Jersey, running back Jordon Simmons from Georgia, offensive lineman Jeffrey Persi from California and defensive tackle Eric Taylor from Alabama are all very intriguing guests in Lincoln this weekend.
Stay tuned to Hail Varsity for reaction throughout the weekend from the visitors.
