One of the state’s best high school athletes, a composite 4-star receiver, is staying in state after all.
Bellevue West standout receiver Dae’vonn Hall committed to play college football at Nebraska on Friday, making him one of the latest commitment in Nebraska’s growing 2024 class. The soon-to-be high school senior shared his announcement on Instagram Live alongside Bellevue West teammate Isaiah McMorris from Memorial Stadium. The Thunderbirds play more 7-on-7 games later today.
Hall is a dynamic multi-sport athlete and considerable scoring threat. He combined for 105 catches, 1,566 yards and 20 touchdowns in the last two seasons. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver also played basketball then focused on 7-on-7 camps. He took several visits to Nebraska in the last two years, including the most recent one on March 25. Hall is scheduled to visit again this upcoming weekend. He chose Nebraska despite interest from Tennessee and Penn State. The past few weeks became hectic with him apparently off Nebraska’s recruiting radar by mutual decision. That abruptly changed weeks later and ultimately led to his commitment.
Hall was one of three Bellevue West standouts Nebraska offered in this class, along with quarterback Danny Kaelin and receiver Isaiah McMorris. All three of them are now committed to Nebraska, as McMorris announced his commitment at the same time as Hall.
Hall and McMorris are the 16th and 17th known commitments in Nebraska’s 2024 recruiting class.
