Nebraska’s signing day on the defensive line is going about as well as possible. After some concern over a late flip, Florida defensive end Guy Thomas stuck with Nebraska. Not long after that, the Huskers added to the class as defensive tackle Damion Daniels (3-star, 86.9) picked Nebraska over Colorado and Texas-San Antonio during a live announcement on ESPNU.
Daniels (6-3, 315) is a big get for the Huskers as they transition to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Bob Diaco. While a bit tall for the prototypical nose tackle, Daniels at least has the weight to potentially man the middle for Nebraska.
