Liebentritt played in 13 games for the Irish on kickoff return as a sophomore walk-on last season. He entered the transfer portal on April 29, standing at 6 feet, 235 pounds. The fullback arrives in Lincoln, still as a walk-on, with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
He played fullback and linebacker for Skutt, including on the 2018 and 2019 state championship teams. In his senior season, ran for 604 yards and eight touchdowns on 80 carries. He finished second on the team in rushing that year. A team captain that season, Liebentritt also moved out of the backfield for 63 receiving yards. On defense, he made 76 total tackles and 5.0 TFLs. Upon graduating he knew fullback suited him better than linebacker but less teams utilized a fullback. With the return of the position in Lincoln comes a homegrown power body.
