Don’t look now but the high school regular season is almost over. As the season is winding down, it appears that Nebraska’s commits are heating up on the field. Last week’s performances were highlighted by Robert Porcher IV and Deontre Thomas controlling the defensive line, while Matt Sichterman, Broc Bando and Brenden Jaimes had dominant performances on the offensive line to help lead their teams to victory.
Willie Hampton
American Heritage (Fla.) defeated Cardinal Gibbons (Fla.) 29-9
Willie Hampton put on another solid performance as American Heritage pushed its record to 7-0. Hampton tallied four tackles, one tackle for a loss and half of a sack as the Patriots grinded out a 29-9 victory over previously undefeated Cardinal Gibbons. The victory keeps American Heritage undefeated and in the top 10 in the national rankings entering its game against Miami Jackson.

Jaevon McQuitty
Battle (Mo.) defeated Hannibal (Mo.) 50-27
Jaevon McQuitty put on yet another sterling performance as the Spartans remained undefeated, outscoring Hannibal 50-27. While McQuitty only tallied 46 receiving yards on three catches, he did spring teammate Dreyton Tyler for huge gains with his blocking on the perimeter. The victory pushed Battle’s record to 9-0 entering its BYE week.

Lake Travis (Texas) defeated Lehman (Texas) 68-0
Brenden Jaimes had a short night Friday, as the Lake Travis starters were pulled following the first quarter as the Cavaliers demolished Lehman 68-0. Despite only playing one quarter, Jaimes and his fellow starters scored 45 points in the dominating victory. The win keeps Lake Travis rolling along entering its matchup with Leander.

Avery Roberts
Wilmington Concord (Del.) lost to Salesianum (Del.) 20-0

Matt Sichterman turned in a dominant performance as Kings rolled up 322 rushing yards in its 45-6 victory over Walnut Hills. Sichterman locked down his side of the line as the Knights averaged 9.5 yards per carry. Kings has now recovered from its mid-season slump and enter the final two games of their schedule at 6-2.

Broc Bando
IMG Academy (Fla.) defeated Oxbridge Academy (Fla.) 38-0
Broc Bando and his fellow linemen controlled the line of scrimmage as IMG rolled to a shutout victory over Oxbridge Academy. The Ascenders racked up 228 rushing yards while averaging seven yards per carry. The victory keeps IMG undefeated entering its nationally televised game against Trinity Christian Academy.

Robert Porcher IV
Dr. Phillips (Fla.) defeated Freedom (Fla.) 38-0
Robert Porcher IV put together one of his most complete performances as Dr. Phillips earned its second consecutive shutout. Porcher tallied five tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack and an interception in the 38-0 victory.

Ben Miles
Catholic-B.R. (La.) defeated Broadmoor (La.) 48-6
No individual stats were returned, but Miles played a key role in paving the way for three rushing touchdowns by LSU commit Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The victory helped push the Bears record to 7-0 entering the homestretch of its regular season.
