Nebraska was on the road this week to take on Minnesota but there were still some news and notes from the recruiting trail. We are coming down to the stretch run of the regular season and with the early signing period rapidly approaching prospects will really start to shore up their futures. Also, now that the season is over for the majority of players, unless they are making a deep playoff run, you’ll see guys taking a lot more visits.
Last week for the Northwestern game, the Huskers hosted 3-star running back Jeremy Banks from Cordova, Tennessee. He had a great visit and talked about even returning for an unofficial visit later on. The all-purpose back has been blowing up on the recruiting circuit as coaches check out his senior film. Banks took an official visit this weekend to UCLA.

Nebraska 4-star wide receiver commit Cameron Brown has been one of the underrated players in the class. He’s having a fantastic senior campaign and his team is heading to the Missouri state championship. Brown, like many of the Nebraska commits will start to set up and take visits to other schools to be prepared for a coaching staff change at Nebraska. Brown took a visit to Ohio State this week. The Buckeyes were one of the finalists for his commitment when he re-committed to Nebraska.

This Friday there was some great semifinal action in the Nebraska high school playoffs. One of the best performances of the playoffs came from 2019 tight end/linebacker Garrett Snodgrass for the York Dukes. He helped lead his team to the state championship game by defeating Elkhorn South. This play got him some good recognition on a tremendous run.

I’m told that Snodgrass is close to a Nebraska offer and the coaching staff likes him a lot. He will certainly be a player to keep an eye on next year.
Four-star defensive back Christian Tutt visited Nebraska for the Rutgers game and it was an “eye-opening” visit for him. He stated on Twitter that he is going to make a decision on Tuesday. He was an Auburn official visitor for the Tigers' upset victory over Georgia. Tutt has a final two that appears to be Auburn and Ohio State. I’m predicting he commits to Auburn on Tuesday.

If Donte Williams is still on the staff come December, Nebraska will not give up on Tutt and will still have a shot to get him in the class.
