The Huskers have added a pass rusher to the 2021 recruiting class.
Nebraska tapped back into Miami when 3-star (HV Rating: 88.0) outside linebacker Patrick Payton announced his commitment to Nebraska.

The edge rusher—who stands at 6-foot-5 and 205-pounds—hasn’t been able to visit Nebraska yet. He gives the Huskers another athletic option at a position of need. In 2019 Payton was a Miami Herald All-Dade 8A-5A first-team selection after posting a 17.5 sack season at Miami High.

The Huskers newest commitment held double digit scholarship offers including Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Penn State. Payton is the sixth known commitment of the 2021 recruiting class. He is also the third linebacker of the class joining South Dakota 4-star inside linebacker Randolph Kpai and Georgia 3-star inside linebacker Chris Paul.

He is married to an amazing woman, Kim, and they have a dog that barks when Greg yells at the TV during games.
