One of Bob Wager’s former players at Martin High School will follow him from Arlington, Texas, up to Lincoln. Jeremiah Charles, a receiver for Wager’s team last season, announced his commitment to Nebraska on Monday.
After a great official visit to the University of Nebraska, I enjoyed the hospitality and the atmosphere. With that being said, I’m blessed to say I’m 111% committed ❤️🌽#GBR #COMMITTED @CoachMattRhule pic.twitter.com/G1zV6sU9cD

Nebraska was one of just two schools, along with North Texas, to offer Charles. The 6-foot-2 receiver is unranked in the composite and committed to Nebraska following an official visit over the weekend. He’s a multi-sport athlete and standout basketball player at Martin.
Charles joins a wide receiver room loaded with talent in 2023 and will likely take a developmental role right away. He’s the second true receiver in Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class, along with signing Jaidyn Doss. Malachi Coleman, Jaylen Lloyd and Brice Turner all also played receiver in high school but could see their roles shift as the coaching staff adjusts them to fit vision and talents.
Charles is the 24th signing of the 2023 recruiting class, 34 including incoming transfers. Charles is unranked and is unlikely to contribute to Nebraska leaping past No. 25 in the composite recruiting rankings.
