The Huskers have added another in-state player to the 2022 recruiting class.
Millard South athlete Gage Stenger announced his decision on Twitter. He is leaving the Kansas State recruiting class and committing to Nebraska.

When Stenger was committed to Kansas State the Wildcats saw him as an outside linebacker in their defense. The Wildcats use a ‘Jack’ safety where they can leave a linebacker on the field in coverage. That position is very similar to the nickel position that JoJo Domann stars in for Nebraska. I’m told that is the way the Huskers envision utilizing Stenger’s talents.

During his time at Millard South Stenger has played all over the field. He currently plays quarterback and safety. He’s also played wide receiver for the team. The Patriots are currently the No. 1 team in Class A. The Huskers haven’t hosted Stenger (6-2, 200) for a visit yet this season, yet were still able to land his commitment. It’s the first commitment for the Huskers 2022 class since Valen Erickson joined the class July 30. Erickson has since left the class.
Nebraska’s class now sits at nine members. It will be a small class for the program as they will likely take 13 or 14 signees this cycle.
