While Nebraska hosted a very good group of official visitors this past weekend, could the final weekend before the early signing date be even bigger?
I’ve confirmed that another big-time player will be on campus and he is very fired up to get to Lincoln. Cam'ron Jones is a 4-star defensive back that was once part of UCLA’s 2018 recruiting class. Jones told me that he will be in Lincoln this weekend on an official visit to see what Lincoln has to offer.
It was also not lost on Jones that Nebraska had a big weekend and is a hot program on the recruiting trail. Check out this tweet from him on Sunday night after Jaron Woodyard joined the Nebraska class.

I asked Jones what his interest level is in Nebraska and what it is that has him interested in the Huskers. His answer should make Husker fans everywhere very excited.
“My interest level is high and just the tradition and history of Nebraska being brought back to life with Coach Frost and his staff, I think they can turn Nebraska into what it used to be, a championship program.”
Jones says that he will not be making a decision until signing day in February. He only has one other official visit planned right now after Nebraska and that is to Ole Miss.
Nebraska assistant Ryan Held visited Jones last week. Now that he backed off his pledge to UCLA, what is he looking for in a new school?
“Man, a school I can love without football, great hospitality and just coaches and players that want to be great on and off the field. Just a college atmosphere that takes me away.”
Nebraska will get its shot to show they can check all those boxes for the physical safety next weekend.
