Nebraska has its first member of the 2020 class and another quarterback.
After a 13 hour road trip with the family and a whole day on campus with the coaching staff, I am extremely blessed to announce I am COMMITTED to the University of Nebraska!🌽🏈@coach_frost @Coach_Verdu @CoachChinander @HuskerFBNation #GBR #2020visioN pic.twitter.com/BPqf5MtWFL

Logan Smothers, a 3-star quarterback from Athens, Alabama, pulled the trigger on Thursday following his second visit to Lincoln this summer. He's a 6-foot-2, 180-pound dual-threat passer. The Huskers are his only Power 5 offer.
Smothers brought the whole family with him this time to Lincoln and it appears head coach Scott Frost and quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco weren't going to let him leave without a hard sell.
Cornhusker Nation, we got our guy. The future just happened…Again AND Again!!!

Other members of the Husker staff responded accordingly.

A two-time state qualifier in outdoor track, Smothers is that multi-sport athlete the Husker coaches have often talked about targeting. He got his offer on May 17 and visited the school once before on June 13.
