Nebraska has pulled off a late coup with a talented pass rusher.
On Wednesday, Nebraska gained a commitment from a big-time outside linebacker from Georgia as 4-star Caleb Tannor joined the 2018 recruiting class in a ceremony at his school.

Nebraska made a huge impression on Tannor, his mother and his former high school coach Justin Larmond when they visited Lincoln on Jan. 12 weekend.
“The visit went really well," Larmond said. "I think me, personally, I didn’t know anything, [Tannor] didn’t know anything, we just knew the tradition of Nebraska and Scott Frost. That was about it. The facilities, the rest of the staff, the support that the football program has was really good. I think that and just knowing that the support was there really swung things around in Nebraska’s way. Mom really liked the academic support part of it. They did a great job presenting it. Hats off to them, that was a real sticking point for her.”
Once Tannor left the Georgia class, Nebraska was one of the first schools to really ramp up recruitment of him, and that initial impression served Nebraska well. Auburn, Florida and Florida State were all factors down the stretch – Ole Miss and Mississippi State hats made the final table as well – but Nebraska was able to win the signature of the defender.
Tannor, from Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia, will fit perfectly as an outside linebacker in Erik Chinander’s aggressive 3-4 defense. More to come soon for our Varsity Club Premium members.
