Nebraska is hosting a very good group of official visitors this weekend in what will be the last chance to host visitors before the dead period and early signing day next week. The list has expanded and shrunk down as the week has gone on so there could still be a couple of surprise visitors that make it to town. At one point this week, Nebraska was preparing for eight visitors so we will see if all eight make it.
3-star LB Will Honas
Sometimes, I don’t even understand how guys are rated where they are and Honas is an example of that. The top inside linebacker in junior college is a tackling machine and would be an instant replacement for Chris Weber. His other finalists are Kansas State and Iowa. He intends to sign on Wednesday so getting the last crack at him is vital.
4-star S Cam Jones
As I type this, the talented safety is having issues with his flights according to him on Twitter. Nebraska is among his favorites and a big official visit could go a long way to securing his commitment. Ole Miss is also in the picture and he does have a January visit lined up with the Rebels.
3-star WR/TE Katerian Legrone
The tight end prospect is another pass-catcher that the Frost staff is trying to flip from the UCF commitment list. Legrone projects as more of an in-line tight end to complement Justin McGriff as a hybrid tight end. Legrone is on flip watch this weekend.
3-star TE Messiah Swinson
Anytime you bring a tight end with Swinson’s size on campus (6-8, 245) you are going to turn some heads. Swinson is not quite as athletic as some of the other tight ends on the board but his frame allows for a lot of possibilities. We have seen tight endss become offensive tackles or defensive ends before.
Huskers commit DE Tate Wildeman
The long-time Husker commit finally makes his way to Lincoln for an official visit. He has been a pretty solid commit throughout the transition, quietly becoming an effective peer recruiter. If Nebraska can get him around some of the unconfirmed visitors this weekend, it would be a huge bonus.
3-star DE Daniel Carson
At one point this season, Carson was considered a lock for Nebraska. Things turned sour quickly with the old staff but Frost and company have turned things around in short order. Frost has visited Carson in-home and he was locked in for a visit this weekend. It is unclear if that visit was moved to January.
3-star DE/OLB Jordan Allen
The pass rush specialist from City College of San Francisco had been scheduled to come to Lincoln all week until last night, and there have been rumors of him changing his mind last minute to Tennessee or Arizona State. No one has been able to confirm anything with him so we will just see where he pops up this weekend. He would be a monster get for Nebraska.
3-star RB Javian Hawkins
The Louisville commit is a speedster from Florida that Nebraska would love to get on campus. He would be a great fit in Frost’s offense.
3-star WR Dominic Watt
Watt has quickly become one of my favorite wideout targets in the class. He shows a great knack for catching the ball over his shoulder on film and has good speed. He previously conformed with me that he was visiting this weekend but has since gone radio silent.
4-star ATH Marcus Riley
Another Louisville commit, Riley projects to play cornerback for the Huskers if he were to flip. The 4-star from Tallahassee represents the type of player Nebraska will probably be battling Louisville for a lot in the future. A strong visit could move him off his commitment to the Cardinals.

As he got older and had to hang up his cleats and sneakers, he realized his passion for sports went beyond just watching and attending games. He is married to an amazing woman, Kim, and they have a dog that barks when Greg yells at the TV during games.
