Joshua Moore on Mike Riley

November 25, 2017

Coach Riley. Man, I hate to see him go, a man that has taught me so much in both the game of football and in life.

Over the past couple months I’ve been getting rushed with all kinds of rumors about Coach Riley getting fired. I couldn’t tell you how many people texted, called, or even told me face to face what they think I should do. Even other universities tried to use that against me, but my family and the Nebraska coaching staff helped me stay the course.

I was always taught that when you look a man in his eyes and give him your word then there is no turning back on that and on June 18th, 2017, I did exactly that. This is God’s plan for my life I’m not in charge here. Whoever the next head coach is I hope he comes in with the right mindset because there is a lot of work to be done.

You can never understand what it’s like to be on this side of the table as a recruit if you’ve never experienced it before. It’s very stressful and can be overwhelming at times but with God on my side I understand that I can never go wrong.
