There has been another pass-catcher added to the Nebraska football team.
On Wednesday, Nebraska gained a commitment from junior college wide receiver Mike Williams out of East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Mississippi. You may recall the school from "Last Chance U" on Netflix.) Williams announced the news on Twitter.

Williams had a pretty quick recruitment with Nebraska as interest started late but all signs point to Nebraska beating Tennessee, UCLA and others to the punch on the speedy receiver before those schools could offer. Akron, Coastal Carolina and Kent State did offer him. Once it became public earlier this week that he had an offer from the Huskers, it was fairly known that the recruitment would move fast.
Williams had 30 catches for 669 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last season. In talking to him prior to his commitment, he felt like he fit the Nebraska offense well. He will join Jaron Woodyard, Justin McGriff and Katerian Legrone as new receivers at Nebraska and perhaps Frost isn’t done adding to the group.
Nebraska is adding five junior college players to its roster. All five are here this spring. Williams joins running back Greg Bell, linebacker Will Honas, defensive back Deontai Williams and wide receiver Jaron Woodyard.
It’s also pretty important that Williams will be able to enroll in class immediately and participate in winter conditioning and spring ball to increase his chances of playing right away.
When I reached out for comment right after his commitment, Williams simply said "GBR!"
