Nebraska added a legacy leg to its 2024 recruiting class.
Kamdyn Koch, son of Hall of Fame punter Sam Koch, announced his commitment to Nebraska on Sunday. He’ll be a scholarship addition with experience kicking and punting at Westminster, Maryland.
“Just wanted to thank my family, more specifically my mom and dad for all the sacrifices and encouragement they have gave me over the years. All my coaches throughout my years for pushing me to be my best,” he said in his Instagram post. “Thank you coach Ed Foley and coach Rhule for giving me this opportunity.”
Koch is 6-foot-3, 195 pounds going into his senior season at Winters Mill High School. He’s an experienced punter and kicker who’s also played basketball in high school.
His commitment follows a trip to Lincoln for Nebraska’s specialist camp on Saturday.
Koch is the ninth known commitment in Nebraska’s 2024 recruiting class and fourth legacy following Mario Buford (Marques Buford Jr.), Keelan Smith (Neil Smith) and Ian Flynt (Darren Flynt, track).
