Over the weekend, Nebraska hosted four official visitors. One of those visitors was 4-star (HV Rating: 89.7) outside linebacker Steven Parker. Overall, Parker came away with a good feeling from the visit.
“I think it went really well and my sister came with me,” Parker told Hail Varsity.
Parker spent time with all of the coaches on staff but mostly defensive coordinator Erik Chinander. He said Chinander was “real cool and approachable.” The defender, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 225-pounds, was first-team all-area and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Texas.
Parker enjoyed his time with coach Scott Frost, calling him a “good dude” who is also “real cool.” After his trip to Lincoln last weekend, Parker said that Nebraska is still in good standing with him. He said the Huskers are currently in his top four or five.
As of now, he only has one additional visit left on the schedule and that is to check out Kansas the weekend of Feb. 1. When it comes time to make a decision, though, he already knows what the biggest factor will be in the school that he picks.
“Just the vibe I get from the staff and players,” Parker said.
