LOOK: Husker Players and Recruits Check Out Friday Night Lights

June 04, 2022

June is here and that means camp season is in full swing. The Huskers brought back their popular camp series Friday Night Lights on June 3. There were more than 200 campers that signed up for the event. It’s a great opportunity for high schoolers to be coached by college coaches. There is a chance to turn heads enough to earn a scholarship, but the ability to pick up tips to help in the upcoming season is also valuable.

Alongside the camp, the Huskers hosted double-digit official visitors. There are 13 visitors scheduled to be in Lincoln this weekend. The only one who didn’t make it to town in time for the camp was Kansas City wide receiver Joshua Manning, but he was scheduled to arrive Saturday.

It was a star-studded group of visitors hanging out in Memorial Stadium. We have a full visit preview of the huge weekend. A trio of Cedar Grove High School standouts made the trip. Teammates Kayin Lee, Adonijah Green and Barry Jackson were on official visits. The Huskers also had rising 2025 Cedar Grove running back Bo Walker on campus for an unofficial visit.

Wide receiver Omarion Miller was seen hanging out with Trey Palmer, Decoldest Craford and others throughout the night. The recent LSU decommit is high on the list for Mickey Joseph to add to Nebraska’s 2023 class.

The in-state targets were well represented too. Malachi Coleman, Brock Knutson and Maverick Noonan were all in town for official visits.

This weekend has the potential to be one that shapes the outlook of the 2023 recruiting class for Nebraska.
