The Huskers are rolling right along through camp season in June. Nebraska hosted its second of two Friday Night Lights camps on June 17. There were close to 300 campers that signed up for the event. It’s always a fun night in Memorial Stadium and Hawks Championship Center for prospects that want to improve their game. There is always a chance that a player will turn enough heads to earn a scholarship offer too.
We gave some instant reaction to the camp on our Hail Varsity’s YouTube and I gave three thoughts on the event.
The Huskers also hosted seven official visitors this weekend. This month is critical in shaping the 2023 recruiting class. The only official visitor that wasn’t spotted is offensive line commit Sam Sledge but we did see his dad with offensive line coach Donovan Raiola. Nebraska’s quarterback for the 2023 class Pop Watson was back in town for his official visit and looked to have a good time hanging out with new running back Emmett Johnson. Peer recruiting was a big theme coming into the weekend for the commits that were returning to campus.
