Do you expect any more commitments before or on the early signing date and if so how many? (@huskermef)
I do expect new commitments both before the early signing period opens and on Dec. 19. I’d put the over/under at 2.5 and will take the over with three players committing to Nebraska publicly.
I heard a lot of the same things regarding Tyjon Lindsey that I’m hearing about Wandale Robinson about perfect fit, idolizing DeAnthony Thomas, etc. What makes him different that will allow him to fit in better, or is it a similar fit? (@Rawker8)
One big difference is that Wandale did not have a tough knee injury to recover from that he sustained during high school like Tyjon did. Zach Duval will also not have to reshape Wandale’s body so he will hit the ground running and be fully bought in when he arrives in Lincoln in January. Also, going off the rankings, film and stats, Wandale is a better prospect than Tyjon was coming out. So what I’m saying is, all of the intangibles are different and Robinson was handpicked early in the process as a great fit in the Frost offense.
Any news when Ty Robinson will sign? (@sells_tom)
Ty Robinson will publicly announce his college decision on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 12:45 p.m. CT at his high school. He will sign on that day as well and enroll at his school of choice in the summer. Yes, I still like Nebraska’s chances.

Has Nebraska considered alternatives at OL in case Bland decommits? (@Tara20DFB)
I’m sure they considered backup plans when it looked like he would take a visit to Florida State. As of now, I don’t see any other junior college lineman joining the class unless it’s Bland. The worry here isn’t about him decommitting but about him qualifying. He is now a May graduate instead of December which is why you won’t see him sign next week.

This is always my favorite question when we get to this time of the year. Mostly because most fans gravitate toward players who have the highest star ranking and assume those are always the guys that will play right away. It’s easy to think that way but it once guys get to campus it becomes about immediate need at your position as well.
The perfect example of this from last cycle is Cam Taylor. He was not ranked high at all and came into the program with little fanfare but because of his work ethic and position, he saw the field early.
My guy to play that role this year is Jamie Nance. Nance made a lot of plays in high school in the return game, catching the ball and running the ball. He is at a position with shaky depth and he enrolls early. Wandale Robinson is the safe answer here and will play early. Dedrick Mills will get in the mix at running back and Bryce Benhart is too talented to not at least rotate in as a true freshman.

I do see that happening in a way but it won’t come completely out of nowhere. There are three players that Nebraska has been recruiting hard that are all flying under the radar to different degrees. Linebacker Brandon Mack is a Pitt commit who the Huskers are trying hard to get a visit from in January. Defensive back Nehemiah Pritchett is committed to Auburn but will not sign during the early signing period. The Huskers have been on him all cycle and have a good chance of hosting him with the hopes to flip him. Wide Receiver Charles Njoku is a new name on the board after he left the Missouri class but Nebraska is very high on him.
