Millard North athlete Caden VerMaas said he wanted to make his dream a reality and tweeted his announcement after speaking with Rhule. His announcement comes two days before Nebraska’s 2023 Spring Game.
VerMaas is the first known commit of the 2025 recruiting class.
VerMaas, at 6 foot, 190 pounds, is considered a safety by the Nebraska coaching staff. He made 49 tackles, one for loss and one pass deflection his sophomore season.
Iowa State is the only other school to offer VerMaas although numerous programs visited Millard North during the January recruiting period.
