The first commitment from the first official visit weekend since 2019 has happened.
The Huskers picked up commitment number three for the 2022 recruiting class when 3-star tight end Chase Androff announced he was joining the class. He made his announcement on Twitter.

Androff was part of Nebraska’s official visit weekend that saw eight players make their way to Lincoln to learn more about the Huskers. The playmaking tight end (6-6, 230) was familiar with Nebraska coming into the visit, so the team had high expectations to meet. The team exceeded them as Androff told Hail Varsity over the weekend.
“My expectations were definitely really high,” Androff said. “My sister went on a normal tour here and my parents praised them for everything they did. It was just really well put together. We knew it’s a very well put together program and school.
“So, expectations were really high. They’ve definitely lived up to them. Everything was super well-organized and very well put together.”
Androff is joining a tight end room at Nebraska that has quickly become a strength of the offense. During the 2021 recruiting cycle the team landed three players at the position. Tight ends coach Sean Beckton brought in Thomas Fidone, AJ Rollins and James Carnie. The Huskers will likely lose Austin Allen and Travis Vokolek after this season. Bringing in one more tight end this cycle was a need.
Androff has a dozen scholarship offers including Kansas State, Iowa State and Michigan State. A strong opening visit weekend for the Huskers feels like it will yield more commitments. Keep it locked on Hail Varsity for more reaction to this news.
