This weekend marks Nebraska’s final opportunity to host prospects for a home game this season. There are several uncommited 2019 targets taking official visits and numerous priority future prospects as well. The 11 a.m. kick off put a slight damper on the number of players expected in Lincoln but not by much. Nebraska currently has 20 verbal commitments.
Let’s breakdown where each prospect is in their recruitment.
2019 Uncommitted Official Visitors
4-star DE Ty Robinson
This will be Robinson’s third trip to Lincoln since Scott Frost took over the program. Robinson is likely the Huskers’ No. 1 remaining target on the board and has been their top defensive end target all cycle. He has ties to the state with family still living in Nebraska and both of his parents went to Chadron State. Nebraska is battling USC, who Robinson has already taken an official visit to. He also has an Iron Bowl visit to Alabama left on the schedule. The Huskers have a great chance to become the favorites with Robinson this weekend.
4-star OLB Lloyd Summerall
Nebraska would love to add another explosive pass rusher off the edge in this class and Summerall fits the bill nicely. One interesting thing here is that this staff gave him his first scholarship offer and have a long-standing relationship with him. The trip to Nebraska is also his first official visit. Will both of those factors be enough to pull him out of Florida? Time will tell but Miami and Florida are going to be tough to beat for his signature in December.
3-star DB Myles Farmer
Nebraska will take a shot at another Georgia defensive back with Farmer. He has impressive measurables standing at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds. The Huskers like him as a safety who can move well and also provide run support. Nebraska has a chance to set the bar with Farmer who has not taken an official visit anywhere else yet.
JUCO LB Dru Mathis
Mathis is perhaps the most intriguing name on the visit list that won’t be talked about enough. Mathis told me that his dad and brother are coming with him on the trip. This season in California JUCO ball, he totaled 85 tackles and averaged two sacks per game. The Huskers like Mathis as an outside linebacker because they love his pass rush ability. Mathis has taken an official visit to Illinois so far this season.

2021 Unofficial Visitors
The 2021 group is very interesting. TJ Bollers will likely be the top player in the state of Iowa for that class and he holds an offer from Nebraska. Travion Ford already holds offers from LSU and Tennessee with Alabama not too far behind. I’m expecting Nebraska to offer him this weekend. Teddy Prochazka already holds an offer from Nebraska and has a tremendous frame at 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds.
