Recruiting never stops and it's easy to miss the top stories day-to-day. Hail Varsity is here to recap all things Nebraska recruiting news, analysis and more so you never miss a thing.
As recruiting analyst Greg Smith posted about in a notebook last week, Nebraska has partnered with Adidas to host a 2019 National OL/DL Pipeline Camp in Lincoln on June 15. There’s a lot to like about that camp on its own, but it’s not the only camp on Nebraska’s schedule over the coming months.
Looking at HuskerCamps.com, Nebraska is set for a busy few months. That’s not a bad thing either. However, there isn’t a schedule on the site that shows every camp in relation to one another. Let’s break that down, shall we?
Here’s a look at each camp (or clinic), the date(s) and what to expect from each according to the website information (all in date order):

It is expected that the camp to be well represented by other FBS and FCS schools.
Friday Night Lights, No. 2
Date: Friday, June 21
Info: The Husker Football Friday Night Lights camp is for high school athletes entering the 9th-12th grade in the fall of 2019. This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals and techniques of football. The campers will be broken down into groups by position/grade level to receive as much information and instruction as possible.
Worth noting:
- Frost has made critical comments of former coach Mike Riley in the past, but let’s not forget that he has also said that "not everything they did here was terrible.” One of those things? The Friday Night Lights camps. Started in 2015, Riley and his staff created the high school camp that quickly became popular among recruits. It’s not hard to see why either when thousands of Nebraska fans show up on a June night to catch one-on-one drills and more. This summer will mark the fourth year of the Friday Night Lights camps, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
- We’ll have to talk more about that OL/DL pipeline camp in the coming weeks, but let’s just start here: The event looks awesome. Considering Nebraska has traveled over the years to various satellite camps, it’s a big perk to get the nation’s top offensive and defensive linemen on campus in Lincoln instead. Since HuskerCamps.com has partnered with Adidas, other Adidas programs will be in attendance. But again, Nebraska isn’t going to have to travel to see the talent for this one. The talent (and the other interested programs) are going to have to come to Nebraska.
- Inside Husker Football 101 and 202 look interesting. It’s always a fun experience when Nebraska fans can get an inside look and expand their knowledge with something like this. Expect both to sell out quickly.
- Don’t let the note on the Specialist Camp about registration opening soon fool you. Registration is open. You’re welcome.
