Recruiting never stops and it's easy to miss the top stories day-to-day. Recruiting analyst Greg Smith recaps all things Nebraska recruiting news, analysis and more so you never miss a thing.
On Wednesday, Nebraska added the second member of the 2020 recruiting class when 4-star (HV Rating: 93.3) wide receiver Zavier Betts committed to the Huskers while on an unofficial visit.
I would like to thank the coaching staff at Nebraska @coach_frost @CoachWalters1 and company for the experience they have given me to help me decide that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Nebraska pic.twitter.com/h0j8Li1T9H

Could Betts be the first domino to fall that gets the ball rolling for Nebraska with commitments? Remember that on Monday, earlier this week, running backs coach Ryan Held said the staff wasn’t concerned about having just one commit at the time.
“Even though we don’t have as many commitments right now, we aren’t worried about that. We want guys that want to be here and we are on a lot of really good players,” Held said. “It’s to-a-T, when a guy comes up here [he says] ‘this is not what I envisioned.’ People tell them it’s in the middle of a cornfield but they come here and see all the great stuff we have here and think it’s a whole different deal. We just have to get guys on campus. Once they see it, it puts us in a whole different spot.”
Well, Nebraska has one huge (figuratively and literally) official visitor lined up for this weekend when 4-star defensive tackle Nash Hutmacher comes to town for his official visit.. Even though Nash has been to campus a few times, it will be great to get him back around the staff and roll out the red carpet for him.
There will be more unofficial visitors on campus before the spring game when a large group of prospects make their way to Lincoln on April 13. The Huskers will get more chances to make moves with prospects by getting them on campus.
If Nebraska’s first commit for the 2020 class, Logan Smothers, has his way Betts joining the fold is just the start of things to come.
