Coming out of the weekend we saw another slew of offers sent out by Nebraska for the 2022 recruiting class. We haven’t seen many 2021 offers go out recently. The Huskers are using the slowdown to get deep film evaluations of prospects in future classes.
The Huskers have been reaching out and building relationships with 2022 and 2023 prospects over the last several weeks. That by itself is pretty standard operating procedure. Here's what caught my eye about the recent run of offers. Nebraska offered scholarships to four prospects from Duncanville High School in Texas.
The first offer was announced by linebacker Jordan Crook on Monday. The defender stands at 6-foot, 205 pounds. The Huskers are now one of 15 offers for the Texan who also holds offers from USC, Baylor and Georgia Tech.

“I was very thankful to receive the offer,” Crook said. “Nebraska is a very good team.”
Offensive lineman Cameron Williams was the next to announce his offer. As a sophomore he already checks in at an impress 6-foot-6, 320 pounds. He already holds offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma and several others. Williams seems well on his way to being a big-time recruit.

Williams said he was “surprised and happy” when Nebraska offered him. The Huskers weren’t done offering players at Duncanville. Fellow offensive lineman Jaylen Early announced his scholarship next. Early is also sought-after with early offers from Ohio Sate, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M and more.

Early is also sought-after with early offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M and more. The final Duncanville player of the day to receive an offer from the Huskers is defensive end/outside linebacker Omari Abor. He has a great frame (6-4, 240) and could grow into a defensive end or stay lean and play outside linebacker in an 3-4 defense.

Abor is also being heavily recruited. Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama are some schools after him early. Crook told me that all the college attention for him and his teammates is a great thing because it shows the talent that they have. Having at least four Division I players on the same high school team is not easy accomplishment. Especially since each prospect has been identified early in the process by major schools. Last season Duncanville went 15-1 and appeared in its second straight Texas 6A state championship game.
