Recruiting never stops and it's easy to miss the top stories day-to-day. Recruiting analyst Greg Smith recaps all things Nebraska recruiting news, analysis and more so you never miss a thing.
On Wednesday, a pair of intriguing junior college prospects announced on social media that they would be taking visits to Nebraska this weekend for the Big Red BBQ and Friday Night Lights camp. The first player is a familiar name: wide receiver Dominick Watt.
I’ll be back at my Second Home. University of Nebraska this weekend 🤫#GBR🌽 #Huskers🔴⚪️ with @Yrn_Jesse20

Watt spent last season at Garden City Community College after not qualifying for the 2018 season. In a run-heavy offense, Watt posted 16 catches and 188 yards. He recently took a visit to Kentucky so he does have options on the table. Watt has big potential and it’ll be interesting to see how the Huskers handle his recruitment going forward.
Another JUCO prospect also announced on Wednesday that he would be in Lincoln this weekend. Jesse Smith, a linebacker from Hutchinson Community College, will be in town as well.

I exchanged some messages with the versatile linebacker who doesn’t hold an offer from the Huskers yet but is hoping to pick one up.
“I’m hoping to pick one up this weekend,” he said. “Coach [Scott] Frost and his staff have been recruiting me since they were at UCF though so I have high hopes.”
Smith has only visited Kentucky, aside from his upcoming trip to Nebraska, but told me that he knows what he is looking for in his next school.
“I’m looking for a defensive scheme that can implement me into it smoothly since I’m more of a hybrid linebacker/strong safety player and I like using my range,” Smith said. “Also, a school that has a good business and law program. Lastly, I need a family-oriented type of program.”
There will be plenty of visitors and reaction from the events this weekend so keep it locked to Hail Varsity for the latest.
