Recruiting never stops and it's easy to miss the top stories day-to-day. Recruiting analyst Greg Smith recaps all things Nebraska recruiting news, analysis and more so you never miss a thing.
Over the weekend, a group of teammates from Iowa Western Community College took unofficial visits to Lincoln. Defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey, who Hail Varsity caught up with after the trip, said he was at a loss for words when the group got to step on the field at Memorial Stadium.
Winfrey and offensive tackle Jacob Gamble already held offers from the Huskers coming into the weekend. Wide receiver Marcus Rogers (6-4, 205) and defensive end/outside linebacker Dominic Quewon (6-3, 235) joined them on the trip. Everyone on the trip had a good time and Rogers later posted about it.

Rogers, being a big wide receiver, is particularly interesting given Nebraska’s needs. He didn’t have an offer from Nebraska coming into the weekend but Winfrey wants everyone in Husker Nation to show the pass-catcher some love.
Players like this don’t come around very often… HUSKER NATION SHOW HIM SOME LOVE❤️☠️ #Husker #GBR https://t.co/CONA9oF9dq

Quewon is the other IWCC player who was in town without an offer from Nebraska. Right now, we know that Winfrey is the one from the group that the Huskers are recruiting the hardest. He recently included Nebraska in his top eight that included Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Penn State. Depending on team needs once fall camp starts, we could see Nebraska turn up the heat on the other players. It’s a great sign that Nebraska has a lot of quality prospects coming through campus from just across the river.
