Recruiting never stops and it's easy to miss the top stories day-to-day. Recruiting analyst Greg Smith recaps all things Nebraska recruiting news, analysis and more so you never miss a thing.
Earlier on Tuesday, we released the June edition of Greg’s Guys (and you should check out the full list and updates on where the Huskers stand with each of them ahead of this weekend’s big events on campus). A number of the prospects on the list have decisions coming up or are taking visits over the next couple weeks that could go a long way in deciding their college choices.
The list has 10 prospects on it but by no means will Nebraska only sign 10 more players this cycle, so who are some of the players who just missed the cut in my top 10 and where does Nebraska stand with them currently? Let’s take a look.
Bryant-Strother is probably not a name most Husker fans following recruiting know much about but he is someone to watch. The Georgia native is among the top linebacker targets this cycle and has great size standing at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds. The Huskers will get his first official visit this weekend.
RB Marvin Scott III
Scott III has been one of my favorite running backs this cycle. He has speed and power plus can catch the ball out of the backfield. He took an official visit this past weekend and has been pretty quiet about it. However, it sounds like the visit went well and Nebraska is squarely in the mix for him moving forward.
WR Ajou Ajou
Ajou (6-3, 210) has to be one of the most intriguing players Nebraska is after this cycle. He attends Clearwater Academy International in Florida and is originally from Canada. He is a tremendous athlete and has been doing well on the camp circuit this month. Ajou has picked up some notable offers including from Clemson recently. He will be on Nebraska’s campus this weekend (June 21) for an official visit.

>> Alabama outside linebacker De’Rickey Wright has left the Alabama class. The Huskers were really early in offering him so it’ll be interesting to see if they get involved again.

>> Don’t forget the Hail Varsity 2019 Husker football yearbook is coming soon. Get a preview of what you’ll find inside.

Greg is the Recruiting Analyst for Hail Varsity and has covered Husker athletics since 2013. He has always had a passion for sports while growing up in the Chicago area. As he got older and had to hang up his cleats and sneakers, he realized his passion for sports went beyond just watching and attending games. He has covered many events from the Rose Bowl to championship boxing matches. If he’s not talking sports, he’s hovering over his grill. He is married to an amazing woman, Kim, and they have a dog that barks when Greg yells at the TV during games.
