Year 2 of the Frost Era is here.
Nebraska will not host any official visitors this weekend, as the 11 a.m. CT kickoff put a big dent in those plans. However, Nebraska will have a few commits on campus for unofficial visits. In addition, the Huskers will host some key 2021 and 2022 targets, as well as many players who are being looked at for preferred walk-on spots this cycle.
Let’s breakdown who will be in town for the South Alabama game.
2020 unofficial visitors
Huskers commit OT Turner Corcoran
Huskers commit OLB Blaise Gunnerson
Huskers walk-on commit OL Xavier Trevino
S Isaac Gifford (Lincoln Southeast)
The Lincoln Southeast standout is right on the cusp of picking up an offer from the Huskers. A strong senior season could do the trick. Expect him to be a frequent visitor in Lincoln this season.
2021 with offer
OL Trey Zuhn (Fossil Ridge) (Colorado)
The Huskers are very much in play for the 2021 offensive tackle. Heading into his junior season year, he stands at 6-5, 272 pounds. His sister Riley just got to Lincoln to join the volleyball team. Nebraska will look to host Trey early and often. He will be one of their top prospects in the 2021 cycle.
DE Collin Oliver (Santa Fe) (Oklahoma)
Nebraska has done well under coach Scott Frost to continue going into the Sooner State and plucking talent. Oliver is a quality defensive prospect with a frame to keep growing at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds. In addition to Nebraska, he holds offers from Iowa State, Oklahoma State and others.
2022 with offer
Wide receiver Quinton Conley
When Nebraska feels a player is offer-worthy, the Huskers don’t hesitate to make the offer. That’s the case with the young prospect Conley. He’s already got great size (6-5, 190) to be an impressive prospect. The Kansas City native will make the trip to Lincoln with his dad.
