On Sunday Nebraska received its third commitment for the 2021 recruiting class when 3-star (HV Rating: 87.0) offensive lineman Henry Lutovsky committed to the Huskers. The big Iowan (6-6, 325) is part of a very good crop of Iowa players that the Huskers are pursuing hard.
Hail Varsity caught up with Lutovsky after he made his commitment. I asked what led to him joining the Huskers’ class.
“I just loved everything about Nebraska," Lutovsky said. "I knew it was the place for me.”
Lutovsky said that the reaction from offensive line coach Greg Austin and coach Scott Frost was great. When he informed them he was committing, “they were super excited” to have him join the fold.
The Iowan told Hail Varsity that he will certainly join the fray in helping peer recruit. Especially the other Iowans. He said that another big factor in his decision was the other commits coming to Nebraska, so he plans to pay that forward.
Thanks tj! Come join the family🌽

Lutovsky is already peer recruiting priority 4-star 2021 outside linebacker TJ Bollers. Other names to watch from Iowa in 2021 are tight end Thomas Fidone, linebacker Seth Malcom and defensive end Jeffrey Bowie. The Huskers have now landed a commitment from an Iowa native for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 cycles.
The Huskers’ latest commit has already built a strong bond with his future linemate Teddy Prochazka. He said that “we’re really good friends and I’m looking forward to playing alongside him.” Each of the Huskers' three commits play along the line. When reflecting on his game he listed his strength and power as strong points. He also noted that he is very flexible for his size.

The run-blocking lineman did have a parting message for Husker fans as they wait patiently through Frost’s rebuild.
“We’re on the right track,” he said. “I know losing is frustrating but this program is so close to being great.”
Thank you to everyone who has helped me throughout this process. I am exited to announce that I am committed to the University of Nebraska! 🌽🔴 #gbr pic.twitter.com/LzI9zpw8th

Greg is the Recruiting Analyst for Hail Varsity and has covered Husker athletics since 2013. He has always had a passion for sports while growing up in the Chicago area. As he got older and had to hang up his cleats and sneakers, he realized his passion for sports went beyond just watching and attending games. He has covered many events from the Rose Bowl to championship boxing matches. If he’s not talking sports, he’s hovering over his grill. He is married to an amazing woman, Kim, and they have a dog that barks when Greg yells at the TV during games.
