The Huskers’ 2022 recruiting class just got smaller.
Illinois offensive lineman Valen Erickson has left the Nebraska class. He shared on Twitter that he is committing to Missouri.

Erickson (6-6, 315) became Nebraska’s first offensive line commit for the 2022 class back on July 30. The lineman took several trips to Lincoln ahead of his decision. The first was a self-guided tour of campus for the Red-White Spring Game. He later took an official visit to Nebraska the first weekend in June. He returned to Lincoln on July 29 for a two-day unofficial visit before committing to the team.
It appears that Erickson was in Missouri over the weekend to check out the Tigers’ matchup with Central Michigan. Missouri won that game 34-24. The Huskers recruiting class is back down to eight players following this news.
The team is now without an offensive line commit in the class. The Huskers are likely looking for two offensive linemen in a class that will have 13-15 signees.
