As we get closer to June, more and more players will be confirming their intentions to visit Nebraska this summer. The Huskers will have a full slate of camps that the team is hosting during the month. Also, official visits will be back. Class of 2022 prospects will make their way to Lincoln to have the red carpet rolled out for them as they close in on decisions.
A pair of players from Iowa confirmed to me Monday night that they will be in Lincoln next month.
The Huskers are on the lookout for a tight end to add to the 2022 recruiting class. They’ll have at least one visiting in June. Iowa tight end Gabe Burkle (6-7, 240) told me that he has locked in an official visit to Nebraska for the weekend of June 22. Burkle picked up his offer from the team back in early April. He wanted to visit for the spring game but couldn’t make the trip. Now he’s ready to get to Lincoln.
“I’d say that I’m most excited about getting to meet the staff in person,” Burkle said.
The big factors in Burkle’s recruitment are going to be education, playing style of the program and how comfortable he is on campus.
Another player making his way to Lincoln in June is Iowa defensive back Jahsiah Galvin. The rangy athlete (6-2, 190) has performed well on the camp circuit so far this month. He will be taking an unofficial visit to Nebraska on June 18. He also plans to participate in the Friday Night Lights camp that evening.
Galvin will be busy in June. He plans to be at Iowa State, Missouri, Iowa and more in the month. At this point it feels like he is an emerging regional recruit. He doesn’t hold offers from any of the schools mentioned besides Nebraska so he’s looking to improve his stock.

As he got older and had to hang up his cleats and sneakers, he realized his passion for sports went beyond just watching and attending games. He is married to an amazing woman, Kim, and they have a dog that barks when Greg yells at the TV during games.
