The Nebraska Cornhuskers just picked up their 12th commitment of the 2018 recruiting class.
Nebraska was hosting their final visit weekend before the early signing period begins next week. For most of the week, we had a pretty good idea of which visitors were going to be on campus but at the last minute, defensive back Deontai Williams was added to the visit list.
On Sunday, the hard-hitting defensive back made things official and joined the Nebraska class.
I’m thankful for all the opportunity God place in front of me but as of right now I will love to say Im committed to the University of the Nebraska Cornhuskers ❄️🌽🏈 #Bringbackthewinningtradition #GBR #Sniper @callaghan02 @CoachTFisher @coach_frost pic.twitter.com/6DEsjyEVq7

Williams is a former Florida commit and played at Jones County Community College this past season. He is a 3 for 3 JUCO player which is the best-case scenario since he has three seasons of eligibility left. The defender had a handful of offers coming out of JUCO and had been recruited heavily by the new staff when they were still at UCF.
Williams becomes the second JUCO player to commit to Nebraska since Scott Frost took over the program. In the previous three years, they did not sign a single player from the JUCO ranks. Williams became the 5th player to join Nebraska since Frost and company came to Lincoln.

Williams will sign next week and enroll in January.
